The West Sacramento Police Department is made up of several divisions: Patrol, Investigations, Field Support, Professional Standards, Community Outreach and Support and Administrative Support.

Our police officers service a population of approximately 55,000 and patrol 23.3 square miles. The Department is staffed with 74 sworn officers and 23 professional staff. Other positions include part-time police officers, parking enforcement officers, reserve police officers and volunteers. Additionally, a Probation Officer is housed at the Police Department to enhance the services provided by the Department.
